"This letter was written to me by a former student. It was transmitted to me during a time when i was in one of the troughs of my teaching life in laredo and when i was in one of the worst classes that i have ever handled. Upon reading this message, i was inspired once again to be the teacher that i really wanted to be, one who can inspire his students to learn. Read on and be inspired too...
Dear Sir, I don't know if you remember when i took your Pre-Ap course. My name is Carlos Santos* and i decided to write you a letter letting you know how much i appreciate you as a teacher and as a human being. What i wanted to tell you is that you have been an example to me and if you want to know how so, it's because i admire your patience. I've seen all the pressure and stress you've had and yet you still have the courtesy to do your job and to help the students. I may not know much about science, but i can seriously say that i know more than what i did before. Thank you for all your hard work and patience and i admire you so much, especially your courage to come here to work with your head up high. As a future teacher I've learned that patience and doing what you love is the key to having a successful career no matter what happens. Don't let anyone bring you down, Sir. I look up to you and i can't forget how you tried your best. Don't see it as a burden, but rather a test to know how good you are. You have been a teacher who has gone on my list that has had an impact in my life and my future career. Thank you for what you have done to me... It's a good feeling. May you have a good life and enjoy it to the fullest. God bless
